Firearm Training

Our courses range from beginner level to military/law enforcement tactical shooting, Frontline is dedicated to increasing the safety of shooters and providing a path for skill building that will be challenging for beginners and the most skilled shooter. 

Cost $250.00

This course is for people who just purchased their first pistol and want to safely operate it at a range. Students must have an RPAL and their own pistol. (Pistol rentals are limited but available) This course covers:

  • Unpackaging and Range Setup
  • Range Orientation, Safety and Etiquette
  • Loading and Unloading
  • Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
  • Stoppage remedies
  • Safety Tips
  • Skill Building

Cost $400.00

This course is for beginners who want to build on the fundamentals and start skill building. Students must have an RPAL and their own pistol. (Pistol rentals are limited but available) This course covers:

  • Intro to Holsters
  • Safely Drawing and Firing
  • 3m to 25m Distance Shooting
  • Timed Shooting Applications
  • Skill Building Drills
  • Multi Target Engagements

Cost $400.00

This course covers mid level shooters looking for a more challenging and dynamic training environment. Students must have an RPAL and their own pistol. (Pistol rentals are limited but available) This course covers:

  • Dot Progression Warmup
  • Distance Shooting
  • Advanced Skill Building
  • Positions of Carry
  • Alternate Shooting Positions
  • Static Turns
  • Walking and Shooting
  • Frontline Shooting Qualification

Cost $500.00

This course is for advanced shooters who have completed the Pistol Shooting Level 3 and successfully passed the Frontline Shooting Test. Students must have an RPAL and their own pistol. (Pistol rentals are limited but available) This course covers:

  • Dot Progression Warm up
  • Review of Level 3 Shooting positions and walking drills
  • One Hand Shooting
  • Advanced Positional Shooting
  • Multi-Target Shooting
  • Multi-Target with Multi-Distance Shooting
  • Introduction to Barricades
  • Shooting on the move
  • Box Drills
  • Shooting with a partner
  • Partner Box Drills
  • Frontline Shooting Test (retest for previous unsuccessful shooters)

This is a 2 day course that is designed to give officers advanced shooting and survival skills to bring their recruit training / annual qualification shooting to a more more dynamic level. Students must be current or former Military or Law Enforcement and possess an RPAL, Military ID, Department Issued Credentials or a combination of the three. This course covers:

  • Static Turns
  • Walking Turns
  • Shooting on the Move
  • Multi Target /Multi Distance
  • Barricade Shooting
  • Shooting with a Partner
  • Partner Box Drills

Day 2 (Simmunition Only)

  • Safety Check
  • Simmunition Reality Based Scenarios
  • Partner Summunition Reality Based Scenarios
  • Final Scenario

ABST (Alberta Basic Security Training Course) $149 + GST

Frontline Canadian Defence offers the Alberta Basic Security Training course. This training will qualify graduates to apply for the Individual Security Guard License through the Alberta Solicitor General’s office under the Security Services and Investigators Act (SSIA).

Tactical Communication

The importance of properly and effectively communicating in a productive and safe manner is the benchmark of many industries. We have developed a communications package for both the security/law enforcement area as well as civilian applications including health services, corporate management and front end hotel staff.

Our Tactical Communication instructors have been teaching for 6 years and are trained in InterPersonal Communications (IPC) and Verbal Judo. They are 3rd generation law enforcement/corrections with 17 years of experience to draw upon. This allows them to relate the subject matter in a real world model and provides for a more comprehensive learning environment.
